About MS II LIBRARY

Muhammad Sanusi II Library refers to the extensive personal and scholarly book collection owned by His Royal Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 14th Emir of Kano and former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The library was housed primarily within the Emir’s Palace (Gidan Rumfa) in Kano and became one of the largest known personal libraries owned by a traditional ruler in Nigeria. Today, it reflects the long intellectual tradition of the Kano Emirate.
